New Housing and Support Manager joins Thorngate Living

Thorngate Living is completing the restructuring of its management team with the key appointment of Jill Francis as Housing and Support Manager. Jill joins Thorngate Living from Choice Support, where as an experienced Registered Service Manager she worked extensively with vulnerable older people and young adults. Jill’s expertise includes designing support plans, supporting strategic development programmes, staff recruitment and training and stakeholder liaison and partnership working.

As Thorngate Living’s Housing and Support Manager, Jill will manage the housing schemes at Melrose Gardens, Elizabeth Court and Thorngate Court and coordinate the on-site resident wardens, establishing and sharing best practice and championing continuous improvement. An important aspect of her work will be providing support for the charity’s strategic development plan.

Her experience with vulnerable older people and young adults will be invaluable as we shape new support services to meet developing needs.

This means that trained and friendly staff are available to help with arranging repairs and maintenance, deliveries and ensuring that the buildings stay secure at all times. In addition they can give guidance on local services and help ensure residents have access to the benefits and support to which they are entitled.
