Thorngate Living’s Elizabeth Court will host a Tea, Cakes and Crafts Fayre on Friday, 20 October 2017 as part of a programme of activities throughout the town in celebration of Gosport’s Older Person’s Month. Afternoon tea and a selection of Thorngate Living’s renowned, delicious home-baked cakes will be available for a donation to the charity.

As well as tea and cakes with friends, a grand prize raffle and craft fayre will draw crowds to Elizabeth Court where residents and staff will be on hand to discuss the wide range of services and activities offered by Thorngate Living.

The event builds upon Thorngate Living’s successful craft fayre and tea party for last year’s Gosport Older Persons Month. In 2016, the tea party was held at Melrose Gardens, another of the three Thorngate Living sheltered housing Schemes in Gosport.

Jill Francis, Thorngate Living’s Housing and Support Manager said today:

“We had a super tea party last year with lots of people enjoying afternoon tea and a chat with friends. The crafts fayre was also a big success, with guests taking the opportunity to shop early for Christmas buying beautiful handmade, Christmas gifts and cards.”

Jill added: “Everybody seems to love the cakes and the grand raffle is a big hit with visitors. We’re looking forward to welcoming even more people than last year.”

The event will take place at Elizabeth Court in Camden Street, Gosport between 2.00pm and 4.00pm on Friday 20 October 2017.

Note: Elizabeth Court is situated in Camden Street, Gosport PO12 3JB. There is only limited parking in Camden Street, but the location is well served by frequent local bus services.
