Thorngate Living's annual Tea, Cakes and Craft fayre has again proved to be a success. The fayre is held as part of Gosport's Older Person's Month which is organised jointly by Gosport Borough Council and Gosport Older Persons Forum. The joint initiative is aimed at encouraging older people to 'get out-and-about', to have fun, connect with the local community and make new friends.
Jill Francis, Thorngate Living's Housing and Support Manager said of the event: "Tea, Cakes and Crafts has again been lots of fun for everybody involved. We had a super turnout from residents, their families, friends and local people."
Jill added: "We raised an impressive £316 for our residents and chatted with lots of new friends which is what this annual event is all about. I would like to thank our warden team and the residents at Elizabeth Court who all worked hard to ensure the afternoon day was a success."
