Award season continues with Thorngate chief executive Anne Taylor shortlisted in the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards.
Anne is one of three on the shortlist of the Making a Difference Award in the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards which celebrate the sector that has a massive, positive effect on people’s lives.
They recognise the achievements of those working across the care sector with Anne shortlisted in the Making a Difference category for her work at Thorngate where she oversees an organisation with a turnover in excess of £2 million, with 80 employees, more than 120 warden-supported sheltered flats and a 44-bed care home.
The Making a Difference Award is for an outstanding person who demonstrates how they have significantly influenced outcomes for people who use their services, their families and their staff.
“I’m delighted to have been nominated and shortlisted for this this prestigious award,” said Anne. “The Trust celebrates its 150th anniversary this year so to feature on the shortlist in such a milestone year is an added bonus.”
Anne joined Thorngate Churcher Trust in 2011 and has secured the long term financial position of the Trust. She has also championed the education and development of staff and by the end of 2018 she will have spearheaded eight building projects including the recent opening of Lucas Court – ten purpose built one bedroom flats.
The winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony in London in December.
