Thorngate Churcher Trust's Russell Churcher Court is a residential care home, specialising in high quality care for the frail elderly and those living with dementia. We seek an experienced, compassionate and qualified Senior Care Assistant with particular experience of residential care for older people living with dementia.
The successful candidate will be an excellent, proactive team player, also able to use their initiative and step up into a management role when deputising for the management. Comfortable with the responsibility of safely and appropriately administering medication to 44 residents, the successful candidate will promote and encourage residents independence and individuality, facilitating their involvement in decisions about their own care plans.
A flexible, pragmatic approach is required with regard to working hours. A working week will typically be 37 hours at a competitive range (£10.55 per hour for NVQ Level 3) with the opportunity for additional hours/shifts. Day and night shifts are rostered 2-3 weeks in advance with a rota for weekends, bank holiday and night working.
